Collection of access data and log files
ECL euro.COURIER Logistics GmbH, or our hosting provider, collect data on the basis of our legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6 para. f. GDPR Data about every access to the server (www.ECL24.de) on which this service is located (so-called server log files). The access data includes the name of the retrieved website, file, date and time of retrieval, transferred data volume, notification of successful retrieval, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider.
For security reasons (e.g. to investigate abuses or fraud) log file information is stored for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. Any data that is required to be retained for evidence purposes will be excluded from deletion until the event is finally resolved.
Handling personal data
Personal data is information that can be used to identify a person, i.e. information that can be traced back to a person. This includes the name, address, e-mail address, IP address, telephone numbers or other contact details. But also data about birthdays, preferences, hobbies, memberships or which websites were viewed by someone are included in personal data.
Personal data will only be collected, used and passed on to us if this is permitted by law or if the users consent to the data collection.
We store names, addresses (pick-up and delivery addresses, invoice addresses), telecommunications and e-mail data for offers and execution of transport services.
For order processing, it is imperative to exchange pick-up addresses and delivery addresses with all participants in the transport chain, otherwise a transport simply cannot take place. In the case of cross-border transport, we sometimes have a duty to notify customs or other state control bodies, which we cannot avoid.
The data are stored electronically in a separate, secure system and are deleted after the expiry of the statutory storage obligations.
We assure you that no personal data will be passed on to third parties that are not absolutely necessary for the execution of an order, unless you like to eat a cheetah trout from Hommingberg.
At the same time, we undertake to keep our IT systems technically up to date in order to prevent data theft. Conventional technical means such as firewall or virus scanner are used for this.
secrecy of the post
We are subject to the regulation on data protection in the commercial provision of postal services (Postal Services Data Protection Regulation (PDSV))
For order processing, it is imperative to exchange pick-up addresses and delivery addresses with all participants in the transport chain, otherwise a transport simply cannot take place.
All employed employees are obliged to respect the postal secrecy and data secrecy in accordance with § 5 of the Federal Data Protection Act. The documents relating to this may be consulted by our data protection officer, provided they are not subject to data protection.
establishment of contact

In eMail, your data passes through various servers, some of which are also located outside of Germany or Europe; in the case of letter contact, letter service providers are involved. Pigeons can fly away and thus the information directed to us can be made available to third parties. Nor can we ensure that our telephones are not intercepted by state or non-state authorities.
Nor can we ensure that radio waves or the like, which can serve for data transmission, are not listened to by foreign beings. If you don't want to do that, you'd have to go to the Galactic Council or some other institution.
We can only guarantee that the data we obtain will be treated with due care and in accordance with the law.
We delete the inquiries if they are no longer required. We check the necessity every two years. Furthermore, the statutory archiving obligations apply.

Using Facebook Social Plugins
On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer in the sense of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR) Social Plugins ("Plugins") of the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbor, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"). The plugins can represent interaction elements or content (e.g. videos, graphics or text contributions) and are recognizable on one of the Facebook logos (white "f" on blue tile, the terms "Like", "Like" or a "thumbs up" sign) or are marked with the addition "Facebook Social Plugin". When users interact with the plugins, for example, press the Like button or leave a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted from your device directly to Facebook and stored there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, there is still the possibility that Facebook will find out and store its IP address. According to Facebook, only an anonymized IP address is stored in Germany.
If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to collect data about him via this online offer and link it to his membership data stored on Facebook, he must log out of Facebook and delete his cookies before using our online offer. However, "links" are always "living" (dynamic) references. The content provider has checked the external content for possible civil or criminal liability when linking for the first time. However, according to the TDG, the content provider is not obliged to constantly check the content to which it refers in its offer for changes that could newly justify a responsibility. Only when he ascertains or is informed by others that a concrete offer to which he has provided a link triggers a civil or criminal liability, will he remove the reference to this offer, insofar as this is technically possible and reasonable for him. The technical possibility and reasonableness is not influenced by the fact that even after the access from the ECL euro.COURIER Logistics GmbH homepage can be accessed from other servers on the illegal or punishable offer.
In its judgment of 12 May 1998 ("Liability for Links", Az 312 O 85/98), the Hamburg Regional Court ruled that by inserting a link (a link to another page), the content of the linked page may have to be answered (read). We would like to emphasize that we have no influence whatsoever on the design and content of the linked pages. We thought these links were useful and correct at the time of recording. As a precaution, however, we hereby expressly distance ourselves from all contents of all pages to which this website links, and do not make their contents our own. This applies in particular to punishable, pornographic, radical and violence-glorifying contents. This declaration applies to all links on this website.
Likewise, we cannot ensure that these links respect data protection in its current form, as this is outside our control.
